Description
Up for your consideration is my wife's 25+ year collection. She has decided to downsize. Sauce pot 7.5" tall not including handle 4.5" wide Hat on one side & chuck-wagon on the other with Sauce Pot written on each side. The lid retains a twisted wire handle. This Monterrey Western Enamelware collection has a variety of single, and the more desirable, double cloud pattern; along with the branding iron boarder & chuck-wagon and cowboy hat and lariat motif. Earliest known history places this dinnerware in the late 40's - 1960's. Possibly used as a give a-way promotional pieces. Each piece has a distinct maker's mark stamped on the bottom or back of each piece: Monterrey Western Ware Made in Mexico **Interesting information: "There are 24 brands used in total, 10 inch plate has 12, cereal bowl has 8, soup/chili bowl has 12, skillet has 14, oval platter has 17, popcorn (or wash basin) has 12, and oval serving bowl has 14." "The cracking where the handle meets the item is where the handle was not welded completely onto the piece and the enamel could not fill the gap; this is common issue and does not devalue from the piece. The mugs seem to be the only ones without this issue." **Monterrey Western Ware Enamelware Chuck-wagon Dinner Set by Sandra Dunn A price & information guide
